Mission
The Association shall provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and information with a strict adherence to ethical business practices and legal conduct.
The association shall serve as the industry's chief advocate and spokesperson before the government and public and shall act to influence matters that impact the industry.
The association shall act to strengthen the industry's commitment to continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance.
The association shall promote the paint and coatings industry's substantial contributions to all aspects of society, including our national, state, and local economies.
Furtherance of Mission
In carrying out its mission, the association shall, among other things:
1. Pursue policies that seek to improve the perception, reputation, and standing of the industry before government and the general public.
2. Develop programs that enhance the overall well-being of the industry, not the specific competitive or economic interests of individual members.
3. Create a stronger and healthier industry by acting as a conduit for cooperative efforts among its members and the promotion of enhanced corporate responsibility for all industry participants.
4. Advance positions consistent with the guiding principles of the Coatings Care® program including:
a. Promoting efforts to protect employees, customers, the public and the environment.
b. Making protection of health, safety and the environment an early and integral part of the organizational planning process.
c. Complying with all legal requirements that affect operations and products.
d. Being responsive to community concerns and providing appropriate information on the production, safe-use and disposal of products.
