NPCA supports FSCT Nanotechnology Program

NPCA is pleased to support this important FSCT program on Nanotechnology. "One of the benefits of the proposed merger between our organizations is to pool our resources to provide quality educational offerings that will benefit the membership of both organizations," states FSCT Executive Director, Joe Pontoski. Andy Doyle, NPCA President, emphasizes, "The exciting work in nanotechnology has just begun. Although there is great potential in the use of nanotechnology in a wide variety of products and industries, commercial applications are still being explored. This program will focus on the leading advances that will have a tremendous influence on coatings development." Focusing on one of the most stimulating topics in coatings research today, the FSCT will host an Advancement in Coatings Series (ACSeries) program on "Nanotechnology in Coatings: Emerging Applications." To be held March 26–28, 2008, at the Caribe Royale, in Orlando, FL, this conference will explore emerging applications in nanotechnology and discuss ways that these technologies will impact the user by providing competitive advantages in the development of new coatings products.

The symposium program features 2 1/2 days of technical presentations by leading experts in this field. Emphasis will be on the new tools available and their impact on creative innovations and technologies. All those involved in the value chain—from scientists, formulators, and engineers to suppliers and developers of raw materials, from those developing new coating products, to all who are involved with product specifications and use of coatings—will be able to learn something new that will enhance their effectiveness.
