ACA Announces Call for Papers for the 2011 CoatingsTech Conference
ACA is seeking technical papers and student posters for the 2011 CoatingsTech Conference to be held March 14-16, 2011, at the Hilton Rosemont/Chicago O'Hare.
Embracing the theme of "The New Face of Innovation," this 2nd biennial conference seeks to provide a multi-track forum for all professionals in the coatings industry. Sessions will provide insight into advancements in the coatings industry and provide a look at the future of coatings technology from industry leaders.
The CoatingsTech Conference Task Force is seeking papers in the following areas:
- Advances in Analytical Methods
- Corrosion and Adhesion
- Concrete Coatings
- Green Chemistry
- High Throughput
- Waterborne Technology
- Manufacturing/Processing
- Nanotechnology
- Pigments/Additives
- Regulation/Legislative Update
- Weathering/Durability
General Deadline:
Submission of Abstract - Oct. 1, 2010
Notification of Acceptance - Nov. 1, 2010
Submission of Completed Paper - Feb. 11, 2010
The conference will also host the following paper competitions:
Roon Awards
- The submitted abstract must be directly related to the protective coatings industry.
- The paper must be original work not previously published.
- Submission Deadline: Sept. 15, 2010
John A. Gordon Best Paper Award
- The submitted abstract will be evaluated on technical merit, including objectivity and experimental design.
- Must be relevant to coatings technology and its impact on the coatings industry
- Submission Deadline: Oct. 1, 2010
A.L. Hendry Student Award
The submitted abstract must be results of original research on a subject related to coatings technology, or present a significantly insightful, comprehensive review of a field of coatings technology.
- Only research projects of a senior thesis as part of an undergraduate of Masters Degree will be accepted. Students in a Ph.D track will not be accepted.
- Submission Deadline: Oct. 1, 2010
Student Poster Sessions
- Please submit a proposed title and a maximum 300-word abstract of the poster.
- Each entry will be provided a display board to highlight the research project and must be staffed during the scheduled poster session times.
- Displays will be judged on the following criteria: (1) scientific content, (2) originality/novelty, and (3) quality of display.
