Body Shop Assistant for Wireless Mixing

PPG has introduced PPG LINQ™ Color software and the PPG MAGICBOX™ body shop assistant for smarter wireless mixing in automotive repair shops. According to the company, PPG LINQ enables refinish customers to streamline their repair process by using PPG’s cloud-based platform and its interconnected digital hardware, software, and related services. The PPG MagicBox body shop assistant is designed to communicate environmental conditions in mixing rooms and receives formulas direct from the PPG LINQ Color software. New UV LED Curable Release Coatings
Evonik has launched TEGO® RC 2000 LCF, new UV LED curable release coating made from recycled silicone feedstocks. According to the company, the new coating can be cured using either the less energy intensive UV LED or traditional UV Arc lamps, helping label producers lower their carbon footprint. Evonik says the new release coating is designed to deliver controlled release performance, curing and anchorage properties, as well as aging stability with pressure-sensitive adhesives and temperature sensitive substrates. Sherwin-Williams has announced the launch of Aerospace Conductive Primer, a new two-component epoxy coating designed to produce an anti-static black conductive film on composite substrates. According to the company, the coating offers a high conductivity to non-conductive substrates, is easy to apply, can be air- or force-cured, and provides adhesive coverage on not just composite substrates but also radomes and body fairings. Multifunctional Curative for PU and Epoxy Adhesives
SI Group has announced the launch of its REZICURE™ PRO 2210, a high-performance, multifunctional curative for polyurethane and epoxy adhesives. According to the company, the new curative can increase bond strength while reducing usage volume in comparison to other industry benchmark curatives for polyurethane and epoxy adhesives. The company says its properties include a longer operating window for polyurethanes/polyurea; a stronger adhesion to metal substrates; and low viscosity for easy handling and processing.
