Renewable Energy-Based Polymer Resin Binder
WACKER will feature its polymer binder VINNOL® H 15/45 M (Renewable Energy) at ECS. Manufactured using electrical energy generated from renewable energy sources, the product is reported to have a lower carbon footprint than its VINNOL® counterpart, while retaining all of the properties of the conventional grade. A copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate containing carboxyl groups, VINNOL® H 15/45 M is primarily used as a binder for heat-sealing coatings, industrial coatings, and printing inks.
Designed to be virtually odorless, tasteless, and resistant to water and chemicals, the binder is also intended for safe packaging of food or pharmaceuticals.

Fumed Silica for Wood and Leather
Cabot Corporation will highlight a dry fumed silica matting agent for wood and leather coating applications at ECS. CAB-O-SIL® MT-6460 fumed silica is designed to offer good matting performance, smooth surface appearance, and clarity at lower loadings. According to the company, fumed silica is particularly suitable for water-based acrylic, polyurethanes, and epoxy resins.
In addition to wood and leather applications, the matting agent is intended for use in printing inks and packaging, as well as in other processes including some ultraviolet and non-polar systems.

Coating System with Circular Content
At ECS, Huntsman will highlight a new coating system containing up to 20% circular content. Developed for protective coating applications, the POLYRESYST® S4010C system is based on a combination of bio-based and recycled materials. According to the company, it has been formulated to offer improved elongation compared with existing standard systems while still protecting tensile strength.

Coatings Stabilizers for Diverse Applications
Songwon Industrial Co., Ltd. will spotlight its line of high-performance coatings stabilizers. Among the products on display will be the company’s liquid hydroxyphenyl triazine (HPT) UV absorbers, developed to maximize the performance, efficiency, and sustainability of coatings for numerous substrates. In addition, SONGWON will showcase its range of additives for coatings, including SONGSORB® UV absorbers (UVAs), hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS), and SONGNOX® antioxidants (AOs). Universal Titanium Dioxide Grade
The Chemours Company will launch Ti-Pure™ TS-6706, a TMP- and TME- free version of the company’s Ti-Pure™ R-706 universal titanium dioxide grade, at the ECS. The product is part of Chemours’ Ti-Pure™ Sustainability Series, which, according to the company, is dedicated to innovations across the four pillars of circularity, climate impact, health and wellness, and resource efficiency.
Ti-Pure™ TS-6706 is designed to be used as a drop-in for Ti-Pure™ R-706 and has been tested for use in waterborne, solventborne, and powder formulations in both architectural and industrial paint systems.

Water-Reducible Polyester Polyol Resin Modifier
At ECS, King Industries will launch K-FLEX® XM-3018, a hydrolytically stable, water-reducible polyester polyol resin modifier intended for aerospace, automotive, packaging, and industrial applications. Reportedly designed to enhance durability and performance, the product provides films with strong impact resistance, hardness, and chemical and corrosion resistance. According to the company, by incorporating ester backbones into polymer matrices, K-FLEX® XM-3018 enhances flexibility and durability.

Wetting and Dispersing Agent
Syensqo will feature its new wetting and dispersing agent, Rhodoline® 6100, at ECS. To balance performance with environmental responsibility, Syensqo has formulated the dispersing and wetting agent to be low in volatile organic compounds (VOC), free of alkylphenol ethoxylates (APES), and made with 33% bio-based materials. The product is designed to offer strong tinting power, color consistency, and long-lasting stability in pigment paste and waterborne architectural colorant formulations.
According to the company, Rhodoline® 6100 is compatible with a range of binder systems, including acrylics, styrene acrylics, and aliphatic alkyds.

Online Product Notification
Evonik will introduce its new notification tool, COATINO® Notify at ECS. Designed for use with Evonik’s COATINO® digital customer platform, this online notification program provides real-time updates and notifications on essential regulatory topics, such as global chemical inventories, toy regulations, consumer product regulations, volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds, and substance restrictions. Users can create a personalized watch list to keep informed about any changes to product data. Plans for future versions of COATINO® Notify include other product updates, such as new available guiding formulations or training on selected products.

Polyurethane-based Low Shear Thickener
At ECS, byk will launch RHEOBYK-7601. The polyurethane-based low shear thickener is formulated to maintain viscosity stability when colorants are added and to improve pigment concentrate acceptance. According to the company, the thickener is effective in VOC-free and low-VOC formulations.
