BASF Coatings, a supplier of coatings solutions, and NIO, an innovator in the smart electric vehicle market, have signed a Letter of Intent to establish a strategic partnership in the automotive coatings sector, focusing on exterior coatings for NIO’s electric vehicles.
The agreement sets the framework for ongoing discussions, facilitating annual strategic dialogues to negotiate the implementation of this partnership.
As part of the collaboration, BASF Coatings intends to provide NIO with products tailored to meet specific technical requirements and will offer value-added services including color design, color development, digital solutions, sustainability initiatives, workshops, and industry-leading technical support.
