AkzoNobel has announced a new pilot manufacturing plant at the Huron, OH, facility, which it says will provide advanced capabilities for its Accelshield™ packaging coatings.
The company says that Huron’s pilot plant will support the global resin research and development center at Strongsville to ensure that they meet market needs as they scale up resin innovations. AkzoNobel also has locations in Springfield and Columbus.
“This new pilot plant will accelerate our time to market for new products and technologies. It also further builds on our customer-centric approach and strengthens the capability to adjust specifications to customer needs,” said Manoel Rodrigues, regional commercial director, Metal Coatings Americas.
