Louis F. Savelli, former president of DuPont Automotive, passed away on November 7, 2020. He began his professional career at the DuPont Company in 1959, as a chemical engineer in the research and development division and was promoted consistently within the company until his retirement in 2001.
Savelli was active in ACA activities for over eight years, serving on the Board of Directors, Budget and Finance Committee, Industrial Coatings Committee, Executive Committee, and as Chairman of the Board in 1996 and 1997. In 1998, Savelli received the George Baugh Heckel Award, the association’s highest honor.
