Laboratory Furniture
UniLine’s newly released laboratory furniture includes cabinets and drawers in a variety of options. The lab furniture is constructed of welded 18-gauge steel with a chemical-resistant epoxy powder coat finish; the company says that this coating is environmentally friendly, attractive, and long-lasting. This lab furniture is offered in many drawer and door combinations, including cabinets that require countertops, wall cabinets, floor cases, acid storage cabinets and flammable storage cabinets. Interior Cabinet, Door, and Trim Coatings Line
Dunn-Edwards Corporation has introduced DECOGLO®—an interior semigloss paint for cabinets, doors, and trim designed to complement the company’s DECOPRIME® interior primer. Dunn-Edwards describes the combination of these two products as an ultra-low-VOC paint system that provides a fast-drying, good quality finish. According to the company, DECOGLO is a urethane-modified acrylic that offers a high level of film hardness and the look of enamel-based paint. Polyurethane Dispersion
Lubrizol has released a direct-to-metal, waterborne, self-crosslinking polyurethane dispersion named Aptalon™ M8120. The company says that Aptalon M8120 offers good adhesion to metal surfaces and that its topcoat properties enable it to be used in a variety of protective and industrial applications. This resin uses patented polyamide polyol technology that result in good hardness and scratch resistance, according to Lubrizol, as well as hydrolysis and chemical resistance. Eco-Friendly Filler for Adhesives
Hoffmann Mineral has launched Sillitin® N 75, a functional filler for adhesives. According to the company, eco-friendly Sillitin N 75 is suitable for adhesives in polishing and protective agents, welding electrodes, and applications in the construction and chemical industries. The German-manufactured product’s features include its suitability for technical rubber articles, enabling a low-compression set, high-rebound resilience, a good matting effect, good dispersion properties, a relatively low-yield point (even with high solids content), and high-abrasion resistance, according to Hoffmann Mineral. Mixing Systems for Ultra-High Viscosity Materials
ROSS has released the Sanitary Double Planetary Mixer Model DPM-4S and Sanitary Discharge System Model DS-4S, which the company describes as fully customized and engineered for efficient processing of medical-grade silicone formulations in a portable workstation. The heavy-duty 4-gallon Double Planetary Mixer was designed for ultra-high-viscosity materials, specifically for vacuum operation. The mixer is equipped with an electromechanical lift to raise and lower the vacuum hood and a 50-psig heating/cooling jacket on the mix can.
